The process
Therapy normally starts with an initial consultation to explore the nature of your problem. It will take place in a totally confidential setting and lasts for approximately one hour and may be followed by additional exploratory meetings.
If we decide to work together, regular 50-minute sessions are arranged at the same time each week.
Talking in a safe atmosphere can lead you to become more aware of your previously unknown thoughts and feelings, thus giving relief from your emotional pain, promoting personality development, and greater self-awareness.

About me
I am a member of the BPC (British Psychoanalytic Council) and the FPC Foundation of Psychotherapy and Counselling).
I hold a PG-Dip in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy from WPF, one of the leading academic and clinical institutions for psychotherapy in the UK.
I have experience in working with the impact of trauma and loss, addiction, anxiety, and with adult survivors of sexual abuse. I also have an interest in the unique emotional challenges faced by young adults, immigrants, creative people and the LGBTQI community.
I can also provide therapy in Portuguese and Spanish.
